The TAE 50x liquid concentrate contains 2M TRIS acetate and 0.05M EDTA in water.

Application
Suitable for use as running buffer for nucleic acid electrophoresis. Especially useful for dsDNA separations.

General description
TAE (Tris/Acetate/EDTA) Buffer is commonly used in nucleic acid electrophoresis. This solution has a lower buffering capacity than TBE buffer, but dsDNA runs faster with TAE buffer. This 50x concentrate can be easily diluted with molecular biology grade water to 1x before use.
